The cardiovascular surgeon Roberto Rocha throws the book “Dear Heart”, easy to understand, with tips on prevention and care to maintain the health and welfare of the heart, addressing the dangers of poor diet and sedentary lifestyle, with simple information.
With light and humorous text, the book presents the major risk factors for cardiac diseases, which today is one of the two leading causes of death worldwide.
The author states that his aim is to warn that the new generation will be healthier.
The book explains the evolution of cardiovascular diseases and relationship with food, the man from prehistory to the third millennium, prevention care after myocardial infarction, the fad diets in the need to make a nutritional education.
“Reading this book may save a life: a reader,” says the surgeon.
The book comes in colored letters in blood, to remind the reader that heart health is a personal care and non-transferable. “Now the patient will have to adhere to the preventative treatment: proper nutrition and physical exercise forever.”
About the Author – Roberto Rocha is a member of the Surgical Unit of the Heart Institute, Hospital das Clinicas, Faculty of Medicine, São Paulo University. He specializes in coronary artery bypass grafting without cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) and heads the team of cardiovascular surgery at the Hospital operates Pitangueiras Group SOBAM Paulo Sacramento Hospital and Group Intermédica. It is the third Brazilian team accredited to perform Minimally Invasive Surgery (in English, MIS) using Aortic Catheter (endoclamp ®).
